Australian Orienteering Championships 2016
The Australian Orienteering Championships 2016 will be hosted by Orienteering Queensland from Saturday 24 September to Sunday 2 October. This year’s events are being held throughout Queensland’s Gold Coast, Scenic Rim and Granite Belt. You’re invited to come and participate in a range of orienteering activities including sprints, relays, middle and long distance events while enjoying the sunshine, nature and culture that South East Queensland has to offer.
Sprint Events kick off at the Gold Coast, where you can check out world-renowned beaches and enjoy the sunshine. After that, road trip to the beautiful Scenic Rim for Individual and Relay Events and take the opportunity to explore national parks and World Heritage listed rainforests. Finally, end up at the Granite Belt for the Middle and Long Distance Championships and spoil the senses with sensational food, wine and culture.
